Seasonal Cemetery Grounds and Public Works Assistant

The Town of Mansfield is accepting applications for a Seasonal Cemetery Grounds and Public Works Assistant. This position assists with the maintenance and beautification of the town cemetery, parks, streets, and other public facilities during the spring and summer season.

Duties Include:

Mowing, trimming, and maintaining cemetery grounds and public areas
Assisting with watering and caring for landscaping
Assisting with cemetery preperations and cleanup
Picking up litter and maintaining public space
Assisting with street, park, and facility maintenance projects
Operating hand tools, lawn equipment, and other maintenance equipment
Performing other duties as assigned by the Public Works Department and/or Mayor

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age
Valid Washington State driver's license
Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to work independently and follow directions
Experience operating lawn and maintenance equipment

Hours and Duration:

Seasonal position, up to 32 hours per week
Employment period: April- September
